A Word For Writers

Do prospects know how they can benefit from a freelance copywriter? Many times, no. And it’s your job to tell them.

The Prospect: does she know she needs a freelance copywriter? Online devotional based on Rom 10:20 with Word Wise at Nonprofit Copywriter #ChristianWriting

Let’s take a look at an example.

There are at least 1.5 million nonprofits in the U.S. About 66.3% of them are considered to be “grassroots” organizations with annual budgets of less than $1 million.

That means there are small 994,500+ organizations operating solely with essential staff. Remember, these numbers apply to just one niche - grassroots nonprofits.

All those thousands of leaders are busy running their organizations, meeting with donors, recruiting volunteers, training staff, running errands, searching for office space, interviewing board members …

They know they need content, but don’t have time to write it and don’t have time to find a freelancer. They may not even know they could hire one and sure don’t know how to go about finding one.

How will the prospect know that you’re a freelance copywriter unless you tell her?

The prophet Isaiah faced a similar scenario. God called him to tell the people that the Messiah was coming. How could they know unless someone told them?

Reach out to prospects and tell them you are available as a freelance copywriter. How else will they know?

A Wise Word

It’s your job to tell prospects how they can benefit from a freelance copywriter.

A Word To Pray

Gracious Father,

You showed Yourself before I knew I needed You. Show me how to make my writing services available to prospects. They may not know they need a freelance copywriter or how to look for one.

In Jesus’s name, Amen.
