"Forget the BRC. Give me a bangtail with a gift array $50 to $500, put the Ask in a Johnson Box above the fold and drop the package next week."

Say what?

Direct mail and nonprofit fundraising have their own niche lingo. Yet you probably understand more jargon than you think you do! Here’s a simple way to check yourself:

  • Re-read the sentence above.
  • Count the number of copywriting terms you see there.
  • Hop on over to our new Basic Copywriting Terms page to check your definitions.
  • While you’re there, look over the rest of the list, too, to help you understand the niche lingo and use it like a pro!

(By the way, we count eight copywriting terms in the sentence above. Let us know how you did here.)
